The lovely old walled garden is an idyllic place to unwind! Just a few minutes drive away is the beautiful Ullswater, one of Cumbria's finest Lakes and Temple Sowerby House is an ideal touring base for the Northern Lakes, Pennines and Yorkshire Dales - a different day, a different landscape! A Grade II Listed building dating from 1727, the house has been sensitively restored to create just 12 individually-styled, en-suite bedrooms all with newly fitted, contemporary bathrooms.
Enjoy drinks on the terrace in summer or by blazing log fires in the comfortable lounges on cooler days.
The restaurant, overlooking the walled garden, features picture windows framed by columns of local sandstone and is the perfect setting for our 2 Rosette Dining Experience.
The best of local produce is sourced, together with a selection of herbs, fruit and vegetables from the garden.
