Sadly the old owners had let the standards of the pub slip, changes to the guest accomodation are imminent.

The renowned carvery has been established many years.
Top quality home-cooked food is available including fresh daily specials, fine wines & real ales.
The comfortable accommodation is keenly sought as a venue for holiday breaks as well as special functions.
We are situated in the heart of Dorset’s Thomas Hardy country in East Knighton just off the A352 road between Dorchester and Wareham.
Not far from Weymouth, Lulworth Cove and many many other famous tourist spots we are close enough for you to enjoy what they have to offer without being stuck in the middle of it all.
There arent many quieter more peaceful locations than the middle of the Dorset countryside.
As a single our rooms are priced at £75, double £85, and if your children are under 16 we charge no extra for a family room.
So 2 adults and 2 children are still charged at just £85 per night.
Over 16's are charged at £14 per night on top of the room rates.
